Sarah Needham
I am interested in questioning what it means to live here in the city of London now: In the contrary forces of cultural exchange, in transience, loss, and the social and historical underpinnings and preservation of stories. I am very interested in the way that trade, migration and exchange act as both economic and cultural agents. I like to raise questions I do not have the answers to. I am interested in the way that narrative is preserved, transformed and lost both in culture and in an individual life.
I paint, print make, blog and repurpose and transform every day objects in order to explore what it is to be here and now.
