Pryor’s paintings reflect ( or comment ) on The Artist as voyeur observing the effect of stress and anxiety on an individual or group of individuals based on the effect that the institution places on them. Pryor comes from a learned painterly perspective and creates work that has an empathetic understanding rather than a judgemental one. He creates painting that reflect the chaos of internal confrontation along with the context of place that these acts of chaos are carried out within.
